Event concept

Responsibilities

By attending monthly meetings with the coordinator and team behind the Sea Shanty festival, I was able to grasp a better understanding of the entire event and how it would be run.

On the day of the event, I facilitated the set up and helped with fundraising.

From this event, I realised and learnt that planning has to be done way in advance to ensure that every section of the event is running smoothly. By having regular monthly meetings, each issue faced could be discussed and solved together as a team.

It is a 3 days event to raise funds for RNLI. It consisted of music and singing in more than 21 various venues throughout Falmouth Town.

The event is infused with the local community spirit, and Shanty groups from different parts of Europe and the United States.
